Two-Tone Plaid Reversible Placemats

Make these versatile placemats in any color to match your décor. They can be used as individual placemats or as a table centerpiece. The reversible plaid effect is created by alternating rows of a light and dark tone of the same color. The four horizontal sections are separated by a metallic thread row. The vertical accents are embroidered on the finished piece. This reversible technique is not as complicated as it looks (check out the Free Patterns page for patterns to try out it out)!

Materials:

All models were created using two strands of crochet cotton, size 10, held together and a size D (3.25 mm) crochet hook.

Finished Sizes:

13-1/2" high x 18" wide with border
13-1/2" high x 21" wide with fringe
